Before my confession, I want to express my thanks for all the kind words I received after my last newsletter in which I shared about my search for love – thank you! (Click to read about Lovesickness in case you missed it) I’m finding that the more open and vulnerable and real I’m being, in my life and in my business, the more that life is opening up to me and the happier and more joyful I feel. It’s surprising and fun to watch this happen.
Now, for another confession:
I watch reality TV.
What?! Does that surprise you? Did you think I was all pure or something? Umm, nope. But I don’t mean the tacky, mean-spirited stuff. No way. Only the shows which champion people’s talents and encourage them to become better at what they do. Like, “The Voice”.
“The Voice” is back on! Yay! I’ve loved this show from the beginning. Such a great concept – the judges can’t see the contestants as they sing, they can only hear them. This totally levels the playing field and takes it out of the superficiality of what a person looks like and makes it about their talent and skill.
It makes me SO happy to see people doing what they love, being brave and going for what they want! And they are received for this, even if they aren’t selected to continue on the show. I’m kinda sad for those who don’t make it, but I’m just so happy for those that do – especially for the “misfits” – those who don’t feel accepted for who they are, because they don’t think they fit into society’s mold of the perfect performer or person (ugh).
It’s so unbelievably heart-warming to witness those who thought they were too old or too young or too nerdy or too fat or too whatsit to ever succeed doing what they passionately love to do – and then when they do – oh wow. Big time happy.
And this is what I want for you too – I want you to have the wonderful life you truly want, all that your heart desires – and to have your health problems out of the way once and for all so that you can do what you are passionate about doing – so that YOUR unique voice is heard. The world is waiting.
